do something good for someone at least once a day

today i brought in some plastic grocery bags for one of my homeless clients, because he likes to make jewelry with them (bracelets and rings and things). he was so happy to have something to do, and he can sell the things he makes for a few dollars for cigarrettes or whatever. i think this goal works both ways, because he brightened my day, too.

you would think as a social worker i would accomplish this goal naturally, but i would like to do this much more intentionally, instead of just going through the motions.

This past saturday I spent 2 hours cooking for the diocesan cook-out. The combination of the heat from the weather and the grill was a wicked combination but it was still fun meeting new people in our congregation. Definetly will do it again but probably put more time in.

Today the lady who delivers the paper car broke down. So I asked her if she needed any help. She fortunately did not need my help because her son-in-law was on the way but was very appreciative all the same.
