Do a mock interview at the UW Career Center

So a while ago I went in and this dude mock interviewed me. He asked me all the prototypical interview questions such as “what are your strengths and weaknesses?” Overall he said I did really well, but gave me some good advice in that what I can do to really impress interviewers is to provide them with a portfolio about my work history, or do something extra to show them you want the job. I might try that.

So far, I’ve gotten some good advice and critiques of my resumes and cover letters and whaddya know now I am getting interviews. However, I think I may come off as too “activist” like about transportation since I’m so passionate about it. I’m going to try to do a mock interview to get some feedback on how to better conduct myself to get a job.
