Passing judgement  — 3 months ago

I’ve been thinking about this goal lately and I’m actually finding it difficult for an unexpected reason.

In order to admire things in people, you have to judge them. I tend to just look at people as they are, since “good” and “bad” and everything in between is such a relative thing.

So even to see the good side, I have to judge. It’s kind of throwing me for a loop and forcing me to look at how I see other people and how I formulate opinions about them. Interesting stuff.

Things I admire about  — 5 months ago

my official boyfriend of 2 weeks:

He is always on time for everything.
He has integrity.
He says he will always be where he says he will be, and I believe him.
He has a sense of humor.
He makes me laugh.
He is reassuring.
He tells me I think too much which is so true.
He sort of gets my number.
He is sort of exciting to be around.
He makes me dizzy.
He sings to me.
He is teaching himself how to play the guitar.
He is a high school teacher and he gets up uber early in the morning and gets to work early.
He is strong.
I wait and let him open the door for me and he does it.

I admire the man I ran with tonight  — 5 months ago

He is training to qualify for the Boston marathon. He gets up and runs 18 miles. He’s trying to do an average of 7 minute miles. His wife who lives in Arizona is training too. I hope they both get in!!

I admire  — 5 months ago

one of my friends. Every time I talk to her my life seems easy. I even think of doing more than I’m doing. She is a single mom, she works, she goes to school, she participates in everything. She doesn’t even find things to complain about unless they are legitimate. I just absolutely admire her. If she can do her life, I can certainly do what I’ve got going on in my life.

my dad – strongest person I know. He is a wonderful teacher and as an answer for everything. I may not like everything he has to say but I admire his advice and words of wisdom.

my mom – not matter what is going on in her life, she is always finds the upside. Her faith is so strong and she never gives up on what she believes in. Her glass is always half full.

my best friend april – I admire her courage. She is moving out to Las Vegas to pursue her professional dancing career (not that kind of dancing!). She doesn’t have a plan – but will imporvise, and I love that about her. She doesn’t care what other people think of her – she does her own thing and remains an individual. I am going to miss her.

I admire my friend's wife  — 7 months ago

she and her friends are like so bonded and having fun…they are like these extremely normal people. Shiny and Happy. I like them especially when they are drinking martini’s and singing rap songs with funny guitar playing singers.

his mind, his organizational skills, his cooking, his strength, the healing he gave to me, his maturity, his experience, his common sense, our conversations, and above all his honest hand of friendship.

I admire my nephews  — 8 months ago

who are all learning musical instruments. 2 are playing the trumpet, 1 is playing the guitar, and one is playing the sax.

I admire my  — 8 months ago

Dad’s abilities because when I see him that is all I see.

I admire  — 8 months ago

my Stepmom’s interactions with people. She was a nurse and she has this kindness towards people that I would like to emulate more often. I want to be that automatically nice as often as I can be.
