but I have done better than usual. Gave the tithe of my stimulus check. Gave the tithes on some other money that came in. God is in the blessing business, that is fa shizzle!

but it was the whole 10% for the month. I get paid monthly. I was backpedaling, and was going to just give a round figure since I did some extensive spending that I had not intended to do . . . but then I had to get myself straight. God does not backpedal with me, so in my commitment to do this I need to be fully committed and try earnestly to do as the Word commands. So 10 percent, even though it is not the gross is definitely better than cheating my faith community from a few dollars. So it is what it is. I believe God and know that he will supply my needs. I mean, that is a huge part of tithing, at least for me. It is definitely a walk of faith.
Be blessed out there and be encouraged . . .

sld1 Resting...at last.
OK, I do appreciate tax deduction of itemization. But knowing how I hover around tithing, makes me a more generous “giver”. I do actually need to check my gifts against my income…may have this goal accomplished!

Yep, tithed on the gross again yesterday. That makes 2 months. It becomes easy once you just commit to it. I know that I am doing my part and following the instructions based on the bible. I am not bragging, but just feeling good and seeing God come through for me constantly day in and day out in spite of me being me.
Lord I thank you!

I did it. The 10 on the gross . . . coins and all . . . go me! Now is the hard part . . . stepping out on faith that God will see me through this month. I may not have or get the things I want/desire, but I know that God will provide all that I need. There is a big difference.
Continue to press forward knowing that he is God and he can do all things…

I am getting my money today and will put it in my bible for Sunday. I am preparing for a baby shower that is next week, and that is taking a chunk of change to pull it off. Since I only get paid once a month there is a whole lot of budgeting that is required. I usually just make it, and that is without the pending baby shower and without paying tithes. And wouldn’t you know I am going to try to pull off doing both! I know it is going to pinch, but I think that the sacrifice of Jesus’ life was a bit of a pinch too, to put it way mild. This monetary sacrifice is nothing compared to all the gifts that God has given me and has prepared to give me. Now that is putting things into perspective.
Be blessed …

certainly did not tithe the ten percent, but did a third of what the 10 should be. So that is like what? 10 divided by 3 . . . 3 plus percent? Well, God knows my heart . . .

tithing is hard. it is a sacrifice . . . for real, but the bible said that before the state, the church should get their tenth. So that means from the gross. My friend automatically takes it out when she gets paid and puts it in her bible. Now, if you don’t lift your bible up during the week, it is safe, but if you do…I guess it goes back to that commitment thing, huh?
