I share the same thoughts and aspirations. Jimmy Carter is at the top of my list, because I feel I’m running out of time. He’s right up there with the Dalai Lama.

I’ve met Mr. Carter on 3 different occasions when I was living & working at a ski resort hotel in Colorado. He and his wife skiied at least once a year there. The first time I met him was by pure coincidence, he was soft spoken and very polite, taking the time to shake my hand, ask how I was doing and thanked me for holding the elevator door open for him.

It was very brief, and during a trip he made to Chicago…
Presidential motorcade, secret service operatives and all…
The agents were spooky.
Jimmy was very genuine.
I am a big fan of President Carter’s and I plan to visit his church in September. He teaches Sunday School on scheduled Sundays.
I’m going on vacation to Atlanta this summer and I plan to at the very least go to his presidential library. Maybe I can write him a little letter and we can meet up :)

This is the one thing I MUST have for Christmas: “Palestine: Peace or Apartheid”. I’ve read a bit of it in a bookstore this weekend.
I’ve put it “on the list” so if I don’t receive it I will buy it the day after!!
I got advice from several people about how to get in touch with Pres. Carter but I haven’t done anything about it yet.
Although I have not been exactly making progress on this goal I did get to see President Clinton yesterday at the Daily Show which was pretty awesome!!!! We waited in line for hours and scored front row seats. It was so cool to see a president so closely!!!
I was trying to explain this to my co-workers who are not Clinton fans but they didn’t seem to get it. There is such a select group of men who have held this position and to get to see them in person is just amazing. I felt even more patriotic and inspired then I have felt in a while.
I really have to get going on this goal because Jimmy Carter is the epitome of inspiration to me!!!!!!

I am counting the days until the new Carter book on Palestine is available for sale in November!
