What a beautiful Sunday – saw black swan, strange crested half-submerged waterbirds, swans and ducks.
I skiffed well and of course, so did Judith and Florence skiffed a couple of miles! Well done Florence, she has really got the hang of it now.

was so very fast that we had to have an adult cox – ours was an expert – we made very slow progress upstream but came down amazingly quickly – a very good time on the water.

Judith could not skiff this week or last. The river is very high and the weather not nice.

Grey and damp morning but we went anyway – Florence the cox didn’t want to try skiffing and didn’t want to go around the island. It was very choppy at the back of the island due to the wind.

It rained quite heavily after Church and I thought I might chicken out – so glad I didn’t because the weather really perked up and though it was breezy it was beautiful and refreshing. Saw the black swan again. It seems to live round the back of the island. Hands still battered after last week.

Round the island this morning – a very beautiful outing, and we saw a black swan. My right arm almost seize up. We got back just in time. Even so, my arms were shaking afterwards.

because I wanted to meet Flo’s friend’s mum after Mass and get her on the sponsored walk she wants to do next week.
