Will probably do more as the election nears.

Surprisingly enough I could see myself supporting Hillary, Obama or McCain, so I’m a happy girl…just have to pick the campaign to help with. ;-) This is so much better than when you are only supporting the lesser evil.
my friend to come with me to an Obama meetup tonight. Actually, she says the election in NH convinced her. But whatever, I am the one who invited her to come. We will see if there is anything I actually have time to sign up for.
I think I could get behind Gore running again. I think a Nobel PEACE Prize winner might be just what we need!
I’m going to a fundraiser Tuesday for a candidate for governor. He’s going to be there. I’m pretty excited, I’ve never been to a fundraiser this nice before.
Still haven’t done any real campaign work. I just don’t have enough time these days to commit to anything. I need to figure out what I can do that doesn’t involve a 3-day trip to New Hampshire.
I’ve just graduated with my MBA and I’ve decided that I want to get a job with a political campaign. I understand volunteering is the first step, but I simply can’t afford to do that. I need a paying job and I know I can help a candidate with my education and skills, but volunteer work doesn’t pay the bills or put food in my fridge. So I’m stuck… any suggestions?
i volunteer for barack and it’s totally worth it. it’s such a great experience to meet and great people, or just call people. i’ve gotten into some amazing conversations about the war, healthcare, and wal-mart just by asking people if they recieved/watched the dvd we sent out. i live in iowa, so it’s really important that we get people to caucus for him.
in 2002 i volunteered on a state rep’s campaign. it was really rewarding. a few years later in 2004 i ended working for American Coming Together in columbus, ohio. i spent a full year coordinating field work. the hours are long. the pay is low. but it’s worth doing. at least once.
