After having no luck on e-mail I finally called the centre this morning and that was much easier! My training has been approved (woohoo!) but my application is awaiting the July committee meeting, so I should hopefully be in receipt of my certificate sometime in the middle of next month.

I cannot BELIEVE how long this is taking. Grrr!

Got an e-mail saying they’re going to do it but they have somehow lost the cheque we sent them!!!
Any more delays and I’ll go maaaaad.

Got the signed training records back this morning so have sent the whole lot off today. Approval can take 6 weeks apparently but I have done all I can do towards this goal now…

the training records off to supervisor for signing – she said she’s not at all busy at the moment so I’m hoping it’ll all go smoothly and I’ll get them back next week sometime.

Then I can submit the final application and wait for my qualified status to fall like magic from the sky!

DONE! Finally!! It wasn’t that difficult in the end, but I can’t believe how nervous these things make me, writing blocks of text designed to justify my worthiness and practical usefulness. I have sweaty palms and can feel my heart racing (slightly!)

But anyway, done they be. And I heard from the giggling accountant that original supervisor is due back in March, and is on e-mail in the interim, so it’s all looking good.

Refuse to stress about the logistics of this any more!!

I PASSED!!

All the exams are safely behind me and I got a nice average mark so I’m pleased, feel like it was a good outcome for two years’ worth of effort!

All I have to do now is get my training records written up and find someone to sign them off and… hopefully get approved!

YAYYYYY!!

is done and dusted and I DON’T HAVE TO TAKE ANY MORE EXAMS!!

Woooohoooooooooooo!!

It’s such an excellent feeling… this has been going on for nearly two years and I’ve done all I can – now all that’s left is to wait for the results, wait for my “supervisor” to come back from leave and sign off my training, and then wait for the Powers That Be to decide my fate!!

I never thought that this would be such a big thing as it has been – I thought I’d just be studying a bit at work and the exams would just happen; but in the end it’s taken a lot of work and dedication and I’m really glad I have this to show for my efforts in 2007 at least.

Anyway, this can move right on down the list for now. No more exams! No more exams! No more exams!!!

Down!! It was different from what I expected – I thought there would be one big essay question or a “write a letter about X with absolutely no other hints whatsoever” but actually it was more “give three examples of Y” or “state 5 audit tests for Z” so it was all a bit more straightforward than I imagined, as long as I didn’t miss anything that is.

Anyway I feel almost home free now because tomorrow is Paper 9 which is Tax which is actually almost fun! and then the euphoria begins, oh I can’t wait for tomorrow!!!!

I’m knackered but this will all feel soooooooooooooooooooo good when it’s over!
