this event is happening at the end of the month, another great opportunity to show my work and make a little money

it’s going to be a busy September

i will be showing my work in an outdoor craft event in september, it couldn’t be a better time for me to get some work out in the world and sell some of it…live bands and all kinds of vendors and everything handmade

worked on a couple panels yesterday and it felt really good to make some marks and push things along…one of the paintings is for my sister

i would like to spend at least an hour or so every night

started cleaning the studio a bit yesterday and making marks on a large sheet of paper to sort of get back into the groove of making marks again, it’s a good warm up for me

going to get back in the studio tonight too and decide on what pieces i want to finish up or push a little further, thinking about setting up a table at the farmers market or at one of the 1st friday art walks…those tend to be successful

got my submission in on time for the 2009 biennial, i am happy for completing this goal

I need to start thinking about participating in the 1st Friday art walk and putting myself out there. I am in the process of submitting work to the Biennial at the Art Museum and I am looking into a New American Paintings submission also.

after my show at the coffee shop on the hill i haven’t really been focused on selling any paintings but i have directed that focus into making more paintings and this has been going well

i think once the weather warms up a bit i will make more appearances in town during the 1st friday art walks with a little table and all my new and old work

i am working on some new panels that are going to be a continuation of my winter series…someone was interested in seeing more of these, i am working on four right now so that she will be able to pick the one she likes

we also talked about a trade…painting for a t-shirt
