become a lawn dart champion

I was inspired to add this goal because a friend had aquired a set of Jarts from his nieghbor. We joked of having a tournament, which was put off and we never got around to it. That friend passed last fall, and I Inherited his jarts, but havent had the heart to even play.

Lawn darts are very dangerous!! Have one removed from your *ss cheek, and you will agree!

And I need to hunt down people who are still playing. I suppose this is as good of place as any.

Would any/either of you be willing to help me out? I need help finding people playing, and sets of lawn darts for shots. It will be a fun, tongue-in-cheek movie. The working title is “Jarts: The Forbidden Game”.

Nearly time for the open matches of the pre-gnat league, sorta like the cactus league, or the grapefruit league. It’s the best time in New England to be outdoors, before the bugs, before the black flies, before the whatevers. Time to dust off the ole’ lawn darts.
I’m not sure my neighbor will appreciate this as much as I do, since he has a 4,2, and 1 month old….

I scored a set of original sliding Jarts… As I had once thought my parents had a set tucked away in a secret hiding spot. While at home, I was able to track them down, and aquire them from my folks.
I hope to be taking some pictures as they are in reasonable shape. one is bent, and one of the rings is a little tweaked. Otherwise, they are good to go. Maybe some time later in the week, I can take some pictures of the worlds most dangerous game in action…

A friend of mine aquired a set of jarts this past weekend. I guess he got them from a neighbor’s yard sale. I’m totally jelous. I’ve been looking for a set for some time now, and have yet to seen any. I’m going to have to increase my efforts as yard sale season is nearling peak. I hope to have a set before the end of the summer.

I mean, there’s no local competition. I don’t own a set of lawn darts, I can’t legally aquire a set. With those handicaps I’m sure this goal is at risk of being written off as impossible.
