Well, I know I play switcheroo with this goal a lot, so it’s not a constant thing, so it seems like a practical idea to park this goal, when I need to free up space to add another. It’s not as if I come up with songs every single day, after all.
But then by the same token, I do like that this is here. Sometimes it’s just a fun thing, and other times like right now, it’s actually kind of therapeutic for me. Kind of like a catharsis for venting my thoughts at a given moment.
At this time, this is one song that kind of expresses my emotions at the moment.
SweetMK Happy; with a full heart
Kings of Leon: Use Somebody
Franz Ferdinand: No You Girls
Smashing Pumpkins Cherub Rock
White Stripes Blue Orchid
Waynesworld spoke too soon about getting over my cold.
This song goes way back, but ELO did a great job of playing this live version of “Strange Magic” at a 2001 concert.
Les Paul, the guitarist, and electric guitar pioneer. Although, his music was of a different genre, Rock’n’Roll, as we know it today would not be the same without Les Paul’s invention.
In 1941 he invented the electric guitar. In 1947 he invented multi-tracking. If it were not for Les Paul, we would not have Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, or Slash.
“The world needs to own up that if not for Les Paul, flash punks like myself would be in jail or cleaning toilets.”-Keith Richards.
hopena will be back soon ~
I tried to post a few links to songs by Irma Thomas, but the first song always starts to play, no matter which song I click on… so, here’s the link to the album: http://www.rhapsody.com/irma-thomas/after-the-rain
(I’m glad that BeeQueen posted a song of Irma’s, earlier this year ~ I’ve been enjoying her music ever since.)
