Take my daughter to Hawaii

I do have visit all 50 United States with my family, so Hawaii does fall into that category. However, I wanted to highlight it as an extra special goal. :)

DH and I started making plans for when the kids are about 12 and 14.

In my daughter’s Kindergarten class this year, the class went to Hawaii.

Well, not really. They talked about Hawaiian culture for several weeks, then spent a day doing stuff like pretending to travel on an airplane, go to a luau, and Hawaiian type activities. Unfortunately, my daughter really thought they were going to go to Hawaii. We tried to tell her otherwise, but she was certain. The day of Hawaii Day, my son saw a schoolbus and said, “I bet E. rode on a school bus to the airport to go to Hawaii.” She even had him convinced!

So, she was a little disappointed when she came home. She is still talking about really going to Hawaii. My goal is to take her to Hawaii one day, but it will probably be a few years down the road.
