How I did it: I practiced everyday for 6 years. Keep it in a place where you see it everyday and just start. Time tends to fly by and you realize it's already been 2 hours.

Lessons & tips: Learn fun songs that you enjoy and that you can play right away. Have a group of friends that you can jam with and learn from. When you get "really" good, you can start approaching your greatest inspirations such as famous people.

Resources: Ultimate-Guitar, Guitar Pro 5.0, Powertab, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, John Petrucci, Toni Levin, Billy Sheehan, etc.

    After giving up on the acoustic because of my ridiculously small hands… i made a little PINK purchase… things are coming along nicely and I don’t think i’ll ever be able to complete this as there is always more to learn with music.

    I’m almost done my AMG2O1 course – I have a playing exam tomorrow. I have a study to play, along with 8 scales.

    I believe I can officially play since I’ve learned tons of chords and can now play bar chords (hooray!). I’m familiar with the notes on the first five frets and I can fingerpick. :)

    and this Christmas I randomly finally got it, haha….

    GUITAR LESSONS! 6 months ago

    So I have been taking guitar lessons for about the last month. They are going smashingly! My fingers are no longer sore and I am actually playing some neat stuff! My instructor is awesome too, he understands how people learn best and makes the class very fun.

    So.. lets see how it goes

    My friend bought me a ukulele!!! Just because I mentioned wanting one once or twice (or 100 times). How lovely! It only cos like £12 but WHOOP I am happy =) Gonna learn, gonna learn! Left it in Cambridge though, but I can get it back next week hopefully =D

    Currently working on Somewhere Over The Rainbow and some Igrid Michaelson songs, and Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay by Otis Redding! =D Yay it feels so good to actually do what I say I want to do and improve! =D I’ve learnt lots of new chords in the last few days, and they’re not as impossible as I thought! =D
