It’s one thing when someone at work doesn’t respond when you first ask them to. It’s quite another when it is clear that they are simply refusing. By the end of the day, I had to get a higher manager involved.
It’s just like dealing with the kids—-Why didn’t you do what I told you to. In this case, we’d actually had that discussion, very calmly, I should had, and came to an understanding… and then he still didn’t do it.
I did not go quietly into the night. I wish I had kept my composure a little better, though, although I did get him to finally do it.
