I managed to get three studies done for the exhibit in Toronto… the show is pretty anonymous and there’s a price requirement (all pieces will be set at $200 Canadian) so I didn’t want to put in a tremendous amount of hours and be in the red after shipping and the 50% gallery cut ouch.
Anyhow, they’re done. I painted up the edges and as soon as those try I’m shrink wrapping and shippin’ them out. I’ll wipe my hands of this little stresser and move onto the next!

Anyhow, they’re done, they’re simple, and they’re ready to be sent on their way. I painted up the edges and as soon as those try I’m shrink wrapping and shippin’ them out. I’ll wipe my hands of this little stresser and move onto the next!

I’ve got three 12”x12” canvases – I really wanted to use board, but without a table saw the pieces I have are too large and the exhibit is an art by the square foot sort of thing… and the works need to be “ready to hang”. Also, none of the pieces can be priced at more than $160 USD… the gallery also takes 50%. When push comes to shove, after the cost of shipping the works I’ll be lucky to get any money out of this deal.
Hmmmm… why did I sign up for this again? Who knows, but I have agreed to participate and so I shall. I started the pieces today, and I’m planning on making them in much the same style as my Body Series Drawings… ‘cept this time we’re on canvas rather than board. Here’s to hoping they turn out.
