Change Job 4 months ago

Already started with applications, been to some interviews. Unfortunately no success yet. Maybe it’s because I have one company in mind and don’t really make an effort with the others. Putting “The Secret” to work. I believe in my dream company.

I think I want to change my job 6 months ago

My job is comfortable, it is stressy at times, but my tasks are quite easy/natural to me. But i might find a better job, a job that makes me grow a bit. I have grown quite much over the past 2 years, but now i feel a bit standing still and today is especially boring…

I also have grown into a direction i did not foresee, I am now a team leader instead of a software developer. Team leader quite fits me, people like to work with me and trust me. But being a software developer is more fun, but on the other hand also more work (like keeping up to date in your spare time).

So I dont know what to do and what job to find, that is also the reason I postponed making the decision. But now I think I go looking for jobs in both directions and I think I will discover which side looks best to me.

This might be a good time also because my current working place seems to be less fun lately. One of my projects was killed last wednesday and my other project is reduced (halved) today…

Things are changing 6 months ago

Work has just announced a big restructure, which affects the area I’m in. Some of my colleagues will have to reapply for fewer jobs, and it has been quite stressful for the last two days. I keep my job with a change in reporting line, and I think it’s inevitable that there is a change in my work. It’s difficult to be positive at the moment, because I almost feel guilty at knowing I have a job, but I do need to keep alert for opportunities in this.

Another job application 6 months ago

This one is through a recruitment agency, and it’s not one I would have thought of applying for because I would have thought I didn’t have the right sort of background. However the consultant told me what her discussions with the client revealed as being important, and it does look like something I could do, and would find interesting. I figure it’s worth a shot, so I’ve completed all tnhe paperwork.

Another application 7 months ago

I’ve applied for another job today, one which is in a very interesting area of work. The previous job I applied for didn’t go anywhere, so I hope I do better with this one.

Progress so far 9 months ago

I’ve found one job which seems worth applying for, so I’m doing that. In my current job, I’ve been given an additional project, which adds some challenge. Also, our manager asked for volunteers for a working group, so I put my hand up. It will give me some additional experience in a useful area, and hopefully get me recognised by the right people. Some little steps in the right direction!

Today 10 months ago

I’ve updated my CV to include significant things that have happened over the past year.

This could mean 10 months ago

finding a new job or changing my current one to better suit what I want my work to be.

There are going to be some changes in my immediate work area over the next few months, so a change in my job is inevitable, and a change for the better is distinctly possible. I’m also going to look elsewhere as well. The more options, the better.

Sending Resumes 14 months ago

I’ve sent 3 CV Resumes to 3 different comanies. I belive in my possibilitys.. LET’S GO!!

finally 14 months ago

lower pay, longer working hours, horrific travel.

but when you’ve found a job you actually want to do, none of these things apparently matter.
