Well, really, I’m going back to an older system, just slightly revised. Instead of using a bound book, I’ve set up a six-ring binder in which to keep track of my GTD stuff. I’ve created the tabbed sections that I want; I’ve printed out my address book and my iCal calendars for the next six months, and I’ve transferred everything from my previous systems into this one place. Most recently, I’d tried doing my planning on the computer, with ThinkingRock. It’s a nice program, but I found that I simply wasn’t using it. So, I’m going back to paper. I think that with the ability to move pages around (which I didn’t have with the bound book), I’ll find the system a lot more user-friendly. 5 years ago

Actually, I started this a couple of weeks ago, after learning about Getting Things Done (GTD) from a friend. I read the book by David Allen, and I’ve set up all my systems: filing system, hPDA, calendar. Now, I’m having fun using all these tools, and looking for new hacks that make me more efficient. I thought I’d make this a goal, to help me remember to use it long enough to really make it a habit. So, 43 days, starting today (Sept. 27).
