OMG!  — 3 days ago

Worth doing!

I had been trying for months to do it.

Then one day, I got really, really high.

I said “Teehee, I wanna do the splits”

And I just sliiiiiiiiid riiiight into it.

My friend said “Wow”
”... AM I DOING THE SPLITS?”
“Why, yes you are”
“OMIGAWSH! ahh1 YAY!”

So, my advice is to not do it so seriously. Before that time, I was thinking about hard and serious. Let it happen as if you were just playing around.

I am extremely close to doing this….... I’ve been practicing since last…hmm…I think november on and off, but since I’vestarted cheerleading again, I’ve been more serious about it. whenever i watch TV, i am ALWAYS stretching! I’m one of the most flexible girls on my cheer squad, so i think that is great motivation for me.

Getting flexible  — 1 week ago

Hi guys, there I’m again… today is my second day stretching to do the splits.. I just started doing yoga (from a video called Yoga for flexibility) and stretching after my workout at the gym… I’m not really doing the stretches that I wanted to do in the morning and evening, but I’ll see if I can do it tonight and create a habit.
The good news is that last week when I started with the yoga video, I could barely touch my toes with my finger tips and yesterday after my workout and some stretch I got to hold my feet while standing with my legs straight. So, this is good news and I’ll keep up with the video, plus do more stretches during the day. :)

I’ve never been even close to doing the splits.

it's my goal too  — 1 week ago

Today is July 16, 2008 and I’ve decided to start stretching everyday for 15 min in the morning and in the evening. I’ll also do yoga for flexibility every other day as well and keep practicing. Let’s see how it will take for me to do them.
PS. I’m extremely rigid, not flexible at all. My hamstrings and my back/hips are super tight, so let’s see if I’ll be able to accomplish this goal before Christmas… I’ll accept any TIPS!! :)

Do the splits  — 1 week ago

Firstly aways warm up
Next there are many stretches you can do:

Seated box stretch- sitting on the floor with your legs as far open as you can, leaning forward to get your nose to the ground.
seated pike stretch- sit on the floor with your legs together infront of you, lean forward so your upper torso is lying on your legs.
Butterfly stretch- sit on the floor with your legs bent so your feet touch, lean forward and rest your head onto your feet.

Never push yourself further than you can
if you go past the pain, it will prevent further progress, as you will of pulled ligaments.

This worked for me.

OUCH LEGS, ARR!  — 2 weeks ago

Well, I have long legs, very long actually so they have to stretch quite a lot when ATTEMPT to do the splits, I can get about 7 or 8 centimeters above the floor(my crotch thing yes.) not that I ever measured! But the pain is excruciating! Now I’m planning on doing this stretchy thing a few times a day for about 3 or 4 minutes, or maybe the length of a Madonna song, whilst I sing along, anyway, I have been stretching for a few days now, not constantly obviously! But does anybody know how long I will start to see any talent in the splits area? My friend said it took him over a year to learn to do them, am I doing the completely wrong thing? Maybe I should have delved a tad deeper into the world of splits and gymnastic talents before trying to do them. Oh I’m waffling on again :)
The end.
