I used to dance as a kid and I was always the most flexible in my class. I’ve started ballet a month ago and I’m hoping to be able to do splits again by the end of the year.
I do weekly ballet warm ups and exercises (15ish minutes) but I think I should increase the frequency of stretching for doing splits. 1 month ago

I sit in awe of the people on shows like So You Think You Can Dance watching the beautiful things they can do with their bodies. I’m realistic enough to know at this stage in my life, I’m not going to become a famous dancer. But no reason I can’t take steps to become more limber and perhaps make my movements a bit more graceful. 6 months ago
Didn’t stretch enough, was easing down when I slipped and torn my hamstring (audible pop included). Take it is a warning: stretch well first, don’t just do it on cue to prove a point. Yay 6 week recovery (!) 6 months ago
