I need to start stretching more often, I only stretch at Taekwondo and it’s not a lot there. I should find time at home or after the Taekwondo class.

i’ve been trying on and off for years, but when i get motivated on the odd day, i try too hard and then i’ve hurt myself too much to carry on the next day. I can manage to get down leaving about 2 inches from the ground when im warmed up, but the last gap is the most difficult to accomplish i think.

I am only about an inch from the ground!
Except I pulled a hamstring muscle in gym class :( but if this happens to you:
1)take a warm/hot bath
2)relax, you can do some minor stretching to loosen it so that it isn’t too stiff later.
this is what I did, it feels 100 times better already

Im doing yoga but i dont think its helping i stretch like twice every week which i dont think helps so from now on im going to do it every morning and night…or try to
people who know how to do it please give me advice im 13 and people in my class are always talking about the girls who can do the splits.i used to know how to do it but i became stiff and i cant do it now.

It’s been so long since I’ve posted anything on most of my goals, because so many of them are physical things… and the doctor told me I had a strained hamstring and to stay off it for at least 6 weeks, with some physical therapy at the end of those. It’s been just CRUMMY. I certainly won’t be ANYWHERE near attaining this goal anytime soon, although darn it! I was SO close! But I’m not allowed to stretch at all, and I won’t be able to really push it for months. So I might remove this goal, because looking at it just makes me depressed.

My flexibility is getting better due to all the stretching i do after running – i havent been actively practising the splits yet as i just want to increase my ‘flexy-ness’ first. I think it will be my right leg first, then my left…i am really not sure if banana splits are a possibility….we’ll see.
