Become a better snowboarder

well now that the season is over it’s time to reflect. I competed in boardercross this season which i think helped my overall riding. I also learned a lot about tuning and waxing which resulted in me actually summerizing my gear. What a concept.

By going lots and lots of times this winter.

this year i’ve really stepped up my riding skills. it seems that everything that i want to try i can after 1 or 2 tries. i’m going to compete in the snowbomb at diamond peak. hope to see you all there

So we went to Northstar for the morning and i had a really great time. I was refreshing all my old stuff plus i was doing things i was never able to last year!! i’m stoked. then we went to boreal for some night action and completely wrecked myself on a box. That’s what i get for trying to do a trick on the first run, oh well. Taking it easy, maybe will be able to get a few days in this week. i’m leaving this up because becoming a better snowboarder is a lifelong goal

But it’s something that definitely needs to be taken off the main page so it stops distracting me. It’ll be a while until i’ll have the resources and geographical location to make this happen :) ‘till then.

I’m up in the mountains, and it’s going to be my last trip for a long while. The weather’s been really warm, and word is that the snow is getting crappy and will make our planned friday trip pointless, as it’s only going to get worse. Also, after this trip, i’ll be back on the east coast for an extended period, and minus anywhere to work on this. I may have to put this goal on the backburner… So sad.

I broke down and took a private lesson and it was worth every penny! I’m 10 times better and no longer busting my ass:)

Well, I’m out west right now and am taking expert lessons. I’ve really improved and am working on flexing and extending. But although I am a black run snowboarder, I want to be able to ride the backcountry. Not much room for improvement in PA.

I’ve got 4 or 5 days of snowboarding at Whistler coming up. I am thinking about taking a private lesson, but they’re really pricey. We’ll see.

it’s been kinda snowing, nothing signifigant but enough for all of us to want golf season OVER with!! i can’t think of a single person where i work that doesn’t want to go riding right now.
