after seeing The Blow perform last Tuesday, I was once again reminded how using the word “like” can dramatically influence how intelligent your audience perceives you as.
I have not completely taken the word out of my vocabulary.. but I am certainly more aware of my saying it.. and have done my best to quit.

i started really trying to listen to what i say to other people, and i realized that when i am in a conversation i constantly add the world “like”, and it sounds dreadfully unintelligible. i seriously am so dissapointed that i picked this up somewhere.
for instance where I should say “Well, you know, he tries to do his best”
i might say “well you know, he like tries to do his best.
ahh.. thats a bad sentence example.. but you get the picture. I WANT TO CUT OUT THE LIKE!!! AHHH!
