I think this goal should be linked with “learn to deal with bullies”. The office bully is more likely to exhibit threatening behaviors when I dress like a nerd girl (khakis, polo shirt, glasses). When I wear something feminine, like a dress, a skirt, a pair of high heels, or some lip color, he will open heavy doors for me instead.
People are weird. They treat a woman based on what she is wearing.

God: Girl, never acquire a male ego. Never play in their games. Never attempt to dress to look like a man. I will give you intelligence and capabilities to succeed even when you work in a male dominated field. You must not be tempted into becoming one of them.
Fly high above the sharks below on the wings of beauty and grace. Never let any scum drag you down. If you fall by accident, call on my help, and I will set you back on those wings again.
This will ensure a life time of good treatment and respect from both men and women. Always remember who you are meant to be – the kind of lady that girls dream to be, the kind of lady that inspire men to be their best.

The most difficult challenge in life is not survival, but how to live as the person I want to be. There are so many different forces at work. Our parents want us to become a certain way. Our spouses, our friends want us to be a certain person for them. Our employers, co-workers have their expectations.
Ultimately, I have to be the person I want to be, while managing others’ expectations.

This was one of my dreams when I was a little girl. I wonder how it ever got lost over the years. It really shouldn’t be.
I always wanted to be beautiful, graceful, lovely, creative, ingenious, sensitive, warm, inspiring, with honesty, integrity, wisdom. This is the kind of lady I want to grow up to be, that kind of lady that young girls aspire to be, the kind of lady that inspires men to be at their best.
Now I’m a grown up, have spent a lot of time on acquiring education, career, friends, etc, but hey, I never want to let this girl’s dream to just be forgotten.
