get a pet praying mantis

My boyfriend is staying with me for a few weeks, and I’ve looped him into helping me try and raise a Praying Mantis from an egg case.

It’s tough, I’ve tried the past three years and never had one survive past the second molt.

I’ll get the ootheca this week once he’s here, and they should hatch before he has to leave.

If I can get one to survive until it’s an adult, then I’ll consider this done. If I fail to do that this year too, perhaps I’ll buy a L3 or L4 online somewhere.
