Dear,
I recently won a Virgin Nigeria Airline’s return ticket to Sun City , South Africa at a recently held Millenium Development Goals International Conference held in Calabar, Nigeria on “ROLES, ACTIONS, AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF YOUTHS IN MDGs”.
Presently, I work as an HIV/AIDS Counselor in a Hospital under the FHI/GHAIN project and champion the fight against this virus in various ways. Working in the post has afforded me the opportunity to be trained and retrained and participated in relevant workshops and seminars. It has also given me the opportunity to be conversant with the National Data Source Documents and collecting tools including the registers and monthly summary forms among others. I strongly believe I will be bringing invaluable wealth of progress and experience to contribute more directly to achieving the overall goal of combating HIV/AIDS, TB and others diseases as my own contribution in achieving the Millennium Development Goals come 2015.
I am also a freelance journalist, have written many creative works on general issues and on HIV/AIDS, some of which are published by some Nigeria National Newspaper. I am also well skilled in computer, communication and information technology.
As an industrious person who wants to keep on working wherever I find myself, please I seek from you any idea of what I can do for your organization and achieve in 3 months in South Africa. I wish to volunteer to do any work given to me in the area of fighting HIV/AIDS for the period i will stay in South Africa and using my HIV/AIDS/Media job experiences in Nigeria.
Yours truly,
Tessie Udegboka Nkechi
Charles Borromeo Hospital , Onitsha under Global HIV/AIDS Initiative Nigeria
(GHAIN) project till date.

080-3356 0751Been 4 a lot of interviews , offered 1 job, lots of promises, but Im not going to compromise, I know what I want and I wont change jobs till I get it.
I left my job and got a new job as a visual merchandiser! I have 3 set days to work (which I picked myself) and I can work at whatever time during that day because I work on my own in different shops. And my pay has gone from £4.10 at my old job to £5.50 at this one! Super dooper!
Does feel like I’ll never manage this. It’s not jsut about the money any more either. I’m bored where I am. I have applied for somewhere else. I handed in the form yesterday but I’m not expecting much.
It’s as a chamber maid, which isn’t the nicest job I can think of but it pays better, it’s a more active job than sitting at a computer with a few customers a day and the hours mean I work weekend mornings so get to have the afternoon free.
I can hope. We shall see.
Miserably. Had my interview and for once it went really well. Then at the end she told me about the hours (saturday and sunday) which makes me have a full week including school. And the pay, (£3.90) which is worse than what I have now. Maybe I should just be grateful for what I have already?
xxx.
