Ayleesha Looking forward to Punta Canta, my brother getting married!
Boy, talking to my fiancĂ©e can be a pain in the butt sometimes. His first language is English, mine is French. I think my English isn’t that bad, and he’s not that bad in French but we mostly talk in English at home. But sometimes I try to ask him something or just say something and whatever I say in English comes out all wrong. I speak much better in French, that’s for sure. Once, I asked him a question, I think it’s was about going to the library or something like that, and he was like “what did you say? It sounded like: blah blah blah land rover.” And I was like “Huh? How the heck did you hear that from what I said?!” We both started to laugh at that one because it was so funny.
I did a bit of research on the Internet and what looks a lot like what I have is cluttering (affects the fluency, or flow, of a person’s speech) and Apraxia (dyspraxia) also known as oral-motor speech disorder, is a problem with motor coordination or motor planning. A person with this speech problem has difficulty moving the muscles and structures necessary to form speech sounds into words.
Hopefully there is a place that can find out if I really have a speech problem and then get treatment for it.
