i saw in a tv serial a magician floating a card in air. its amazing.., can i also do that?
I saw my first magician when I was about 5. My eyes nearly popped out when he was doing this funny trick where he was blowing fire with cocoa powder. His face was a right mess. Very funny. I wanted to become a magician. I never did. But my fascination with magic tricks never left me.
Recently I stumbled across the Simple MaGic Tricks blog showing how the Dutch magician Wouter Bijdendijk levitated in front of the White House. It was all over the news some weeks ago. It’s worth to watch the video of that very same trick but performed in India!
I used to watch a lot of magic shows in TV and they were mind blowing. I was curious to know the tricks behind it so that I could perform it myself and impress my frens and family..My curiosity was accomplished when I found MAGIC SECRETS REVEALED .
I read this book and it has got a lot of tricks beyond my imagination. Now, I perform some magics in the party with my frens, in college and everybody is impressed…;)
When I worked for a magic shop I got to learn so many great tricks. The training was great. I worked with some of the best close up magicians I have ever met. I loved tricks like Scotch and Soda, the watch plant was easy to learn and it really gets a great reaction. If you don’t want to spend money on gimmicks, then cards and some simple mentalist tricks is the way to go. I like cards because of the flourishes, there are so many and you can do them right in the middle of almost any trick. If anyone has the chance to work for a magic shop I recommend you go for it. It is a great way to learn tricks well, and you can even learn a new one every day if you want. Plus you get a discount on the gimmicks, or just learn how to make them, like the pen through a bill. That is easy to make your self.
One thing though, some magicians can be shifty when it comes to pay, and others are shifty when is comes to paying for items. So watch your shop closely to avoid lost (stolen) inventory, or money, and look at your check closely and keep a record of your hours and any pay rate changes.
There are a lot of good sites out there that have a lot of free magic tricks, including some really good card tricks and mentalism. I have one in my bookmarks called Street Magic. It’s not the little kid stuff like some places. They have a free newsletter too thats pretty cool. I don’t understand everything they talk about but I’m learning. http://streetmagic.info
before today i never cared about magic cos i always believed it was full of shit putting it frankly. Today this kid on the basketball court comes up to me with a pack of cards, asking me if i was interested in a few magic tricks. OMG. The tricks he did was unlike anything you seen on tv, its beyond fucking professional. Cant be bothered to describe the trick he did but if any1 knows any decent sites holler back! thanks
