learn 5 songs on the guitar

I’ve got the prechorus and chorus of Wonderwall down. I just have to put it together with the versus and memorize the lyrics.

My instructor (21-year-old prodigy!) taught me how to build any chord I want using the chromatic scale just by memorizing the 6 strings. Hint: Easter Bunny Gets Drunk At Easter. It feels like he’s unlocked the secrets of the Universe to me and I’m stoked about it!

Went to my first lesson tonight. The guy’s a young pup, only 21. He seems to know his stuff, but is a little disorganized. I felt a little like I was on an assembly line; the previous student was leaving as I was getting settled, and the next student arrived before I was finished. Is 30 minutes really enough for a lesson? He did give me homework: I need to learn the prechorus and chorus of Wonderwall and there was something else but I forgot what it was.

My instructor contacted me today.

I start lessons next Tuesday.

I know 2 songs well, 1 song pretty well. Am learning a 4th.

Have contacted a guitar instructor. Will probably start lessons in a week or so. What can I say? I lack discipline and need someone to impose it.

I have a lot of other goals right now that are higher priorities than this, but I promise I’ll get around to tackling it sometime :) Hopefully this summer!

or save them for the next five

i didn’t finish this, which means i have to learn a really awful song for guitar, any suggestions?
