I really like this guy, and it’s not just because he and I have been swapping Denver and Philadelphia mint state quarters. He’s got a good head on his shoulders and has shared some excellent insights on a wide variety of subjects from embracing his inner radical to doing something new every month. Here are my birthday wishes for him for the coming year:

May you find the motivation to exercise more including tai chi, because in doing so you’ll be able to lose those 30 pounds. May your creative muses inspire you to write more, whether it be another novel or just your memoirs, more poetry or short stories. And may you be surrounded by learning opportunities as well as chances to philosophize.
