Visit Washington state

And beautiful… perfect place for a New Yorker to chill!

I decided that despite the fact that I am broke and am in no way deserving of a vacation, that I would buy a plane ticket anyway and go see my best friend from college in Washington State. I had a week off between summer classes and a pretty flexible schedule. By being willing to fly on a Tuesday, fly a red-eye and have stop overs, I managed to save a lot of money on airfare, and fly for about $300 round trip including tax, which is not that bad for this time of year. The trip was wonderful; it was so much fun to see my friend and Washington is really beautiful. Everywhere you look there is water, trees and mountains. The weather was really nice (cool and not humid) and Bremerton, where my friend lives, has a newly revitalized waterfront district that is well worth seeing. I would recomend it to anyone!

My best friend from college lives in Bremerton, and I’ve never been able to visit her because I can’t afford it. If I can save up a little money this summer, I can go in July or August

Seattle, Tacoma, olympia (great), Puget sound…rain, rain, but nice place to visit.

It’s very pretty there!
