go on Semester at Sea

I will be on the Fall 09 voyage! I’ve just got to finish the rest of my paperwork. Can’t wait <3

I’ll be visiting Nova Scotia, Spain, Morocco, Ghanna, South Africa, Mauritius, India, China, Viet Nam, Japan, and end in San Diego.

I leave in 6 days! Holy crap this is really happening!

i wasn’t homesick the entire 10 weeks i was away. now that i’m “home,” i miss the ship<3

best experience of my life. hands down.

I found out like 2 weeks ago that I’ve been accepted for the Spring ‘09 voyage. I’m so incredibly excited – even though it’s pretty funny I happen to have already been to half of the countries we’re going to. Haha. I’m also really surprised I got in as my gpa was only a 2.6 and not the 2.75 they say they wanted. Now all I have to do is all the medical and transfer paperwork, pick out my classes, buy my books, and save money.

My next big goal is to loose a bunch of weight so I can feel fine relaxing in the enormous on-ship pool!

I’m applying for the Sping of ‘09 voyage – I finished all the transcripts, applications, and disciplinary stuff and now all I have to do is wait and see if I got in. I should know within the next few days.
I’m kinda worried because my gpa is a 2.6 and not the 2.75 I needed, but I’m praying it’ll all work out, especially since I sent extra stuff in saying I was a transfer student with much much better grades at my last school and just had a rough year in my new one.
I want to get in more than anything!!

OMG, i just found out about SAS and wow , no matter what, i am going to do it!

This sea voyage thing, sounds really cool, i want to do this one day. But as we say in Arabic everything is nice in its

I have to take care of a few other goals before i go pursuing this one =D can’t wait to do this

It’s no longer a matter of wanting to do this anymore for me.. I need it haha.. That ship is calling to me and i’m going to do anything I can in my power to get on it… To anyone that has done this, is it a very competitive program to get into?

I went to the equivalent of the open houses of 4 year colleges of Sem. at sea aboard the Explorer. It is an amazing ship. Extremely luxurious (it has a massage parlor!). I can’t wait to raise my GPA and get my ass on that ship. I heard stories from the alumni there from either Spring 07 or Fall 06 that had Desmond Tutu aboard the ship for their entire ride. And they went to S. Africa with him…. can’t beat that semester but I might as well try.
