I don’t think I’ll do it this year maybe in 5 years I will. I just don’t want to forget.(Bad neighborhood no one goes door to door treating – crack houses, seriously….. ...) So I’d want to do make a costume in this Image up top once I’m moved out of this neighborhood to a decent one.
Its from Silent Hill 4 The Room, video game, if someone makes a costume with this design please share pictures. The in-game height of this creature was about 7 1/2 feet. 19 months ago

How I did it:
I was a shower, inspired by the movie "The Karate Kid."
Lots of thinking, planning, a list of materials, little doodle sketches, trial and error in construction, and some time for final assembly and drying. Really not very hard if you just plan out what you want to do and think about how you are going to accomplish it. Also employ the help of friends who may have talents you don't.

I have been making my Halloween costume for 3 years!
Year 1 I made some fairy wings out of coat hangers and panty hose, made a skirt and sewed homemade stripy sleeves to a goodwill shirt. I went as a dark fairy.
Year 2 I spent MONTHS UPON MONTHS collecting soda can tabs. I used elastic to weave hundreds of them together to make a chain mail skirt for my knight costume. Spray painted elbow and knee pads silver, and cut up an old windshield cover to make and paint my shield/coat of arms. The only part I bought was the sword.
This year I made a steampunk mad scientist costume. The hardest part was the goggles, made from parts from Ace Hardware, old costume glasses I’ve had forever, and a purse I bought from a thrift store for 5 bucks. Lots of cutting and sewing and gluing and the goggles were done. I altered a gigantic lab coat my dad had for years to fit me, and dyed it with 20 bags of Lipton tea. I ruched a super long skirt into a cool bustle skirt. The only part I did not make was the corset, which my mom had from one time when she went to Vegas 15 years ago, but it fits me perfectly and it’s gorgeous and looked great with the costume. The gloves were also homemade, not as easy as they seemed though. Lots of trial and error but I finally got them done and got the zippers right. I LOVED the finished product. 2 years ago

How I did it: This goal was specifically for 2008. It's hard to say what's "amazing" since it's such a subjective word.
However, I scared small children and animals, so I would say that's pretty amazing. ;)
Basically with this costume I decided to be a zombie school girl from the Japanese comedy-horror-cult movie Stacy. It was really a shame I didn't steal a school uniform from one of my students in Japan.
I made the sailor school girl uniform by reconstructing already constructed pieces of clothing. I used a long sleeved buttoned up shirt, a black skirt, and a black and red square of fabric.
For make up I just used baby powder, black eyeshadow, and fake blood (the cheapest kind in a bottle - which I also put on my clothing and hands).
Being a zombie is always so much fun. Read how I did it… 3 years ago

:P Read how I did it… 3 years ago

It took a lot of work, but it was worth it. We wore the costumes to a party on Saturday night and then again to the Halloween “fashion show” at work. They made a good impression both places. 4 years ago

Instead of making stillsuits from Dune, DH and I have decided to make Tron costumes. It’s just as nerdy, but somewhat easier to implement as a recognizable costume, I think. We’ve got all the materials we need and did a lot of spray painting over the weekend, but we still have a way to go. We’re hoping to finish before this weekend because that’s when we’ll have the chance to wear our costumes. 4 years ago

Well… a bag of psychedelics, a pair of Aviators, a cigarette holder, a metal briefcase and a plaid shirt is all I need. Too bad Hunter is gone. sigh4 years ago

DH and I want to dress up in stillsuits from Dune. I know, I know, we’re tremendous nerds.
We had this idea last year, but then didn’t have enough time to follow through. Now, it’s almost Halloween again and we still haven’t done anything toward making the costumes… 4 years ago

I would have spent making this costume to simplify my life, instead of creating something I will not ever use again. 4 years ago

I’ve decided to dress up as Gogo from Kill Bill. I’ll probably buy the skirt and shirt, then make a necktie and embroider the blazer. My boyfriend will be helping me to make a mace so we’ll start sketching out designs tonight. 4 years ago

I have been wanting to be they lady from The Birds, being attacked by birds, for SIX FREAKING YEARS. Have I managed to get my act together in time? Not yet.
I’ve got some of the things I’ll need already:
- fake blood
- fake birds (4 blackbirds)
- pattern to sew dress
- sewing machine
- green heels
Still need:
- blonde wig
- a method to attach birds to self
- maybe some more birds (seagulls, sparrows?)
- green fabric and thread for dress
- mad sewing skillz
le sigh
The problem with the birds is that craft stores generally sell happy, perched birds, not evil-looking ones with their wings spread out.
The problem with sewing is that I’ve got no skills whatsoever, and if I actually learn something and sew a dress, I’d probably not want to muck it up with fake blood and bird holes. I should try to find a dress at a thrift store instead. 4 years ago

The Boy with Nails in His Eyes
Put up his aluminium tree.
It looked pretty strange
Because he couldn’t really see.
This would be an amazing costume and it’s what I’d like to do but I did promise my best friend I’d go as someone from the Rocky Horror Picture Show next Halloween, so it may have to wait. 4 years ago

As I’m going to be in great shape by October (27 weeks for my PT evolution, and I’ll be almost at the end of it), I’m thinking either Tygra from the Thundercats or Skeletor
If I go as Skeletor, though, I want to do it without the padding. If my muscle definition isn’t enough, I may use make-up or cloth paints on the bodysuit or whatever I do for the blue color, to accent and make it look like I’ve got the build.
Failing all that and I’m going to make some Jedi Robes and a Lightsaber from scratch. There are a handful of decent sites on the making of such. 5 years ago

I was a rubix cube about 3 years ago. IT WAS SOO COOL! I just got a cardboard box and painted it. I’ll probably use it again for this year. 5 years ago
