Every time I’m in the kitchen I clean up whatever mess I make then wipe the counters, do the dishes, and wipe the stove.
It makes cooking way easier and more appealing.
I just need to get into this habit with my room and bathroom.

I feel like I can mark this as accomplished.
I’ve been making a concerned effort to do this instead of lapse into lazy. I’m glad I’ve found this goal and its helped change my point of view.
Mission accomplished.

Baby steps, but I’m already seeing results…! It is tough initially but I keep reminding my self of the 2-minute rule and dive in to the little tasks that I usually leave till it gets bigger. And things get done.. :)

I’m really bad at leaving things if it only takes less than a minute to finish. This is a good rule for 2009 for me..!

the most useful goal I’ve added.
Instead of being irritated by the continual build up of mess after and afternoon of cleaning and then just giving into the disaster, I am not cleaning things 2 minutes at a time. I even got my husband to clean last night with only little argument. Shocking… I couldn’t believe I was able to get his participation.
Well I’m very pleased with this. It is just one more way that 43things has changed my life for the better.
For this I’m seriously grateful.

for people like me who can spend hours daydreaming instead of doing some of the simple things that need to be done/can be achieved.

It is easy to be lazy about house work etc. Now when I’m tempted to leave a dish in the sink I say to myself
“really? this is not going to take any time and my kitchen will stay clean…. less then 2 mins… do it.”

aswedishlime is for once looking ahead to a bright new year!
...Do it!
I read this recently somewhere, and it really made me think about how many times I pass up the opportunity to do something small, because I’m waiting until it can be a bigger task.
Why wait? Isn’t that how I got into the mess of a cluttered life and unhappy boredom?
If it only takes two minutes, make it happen. I’ll be a lot more productive, if I follow this more often.
