I’ll leave out states where I’ve sat in the airport!
How I did it: I took a 12,063 mile motorcycle ride in 2001 and hit 35 states in 4 weeks. I drove, and my wife rode the entire distance,This last week I completed another trip of 5,559 miles and visited 14 of the remaining states all on motorcycle. The 50th state, Hawaii, I have been to, but not yet on a motorcycle. How I did it: Mother at age 50 penciled in a map of the US to make sure she hit all 48 contiguous states when I was 13. She'd already visited Alaska at least twice that I know of. I find it wonderful how each state has its each individual characteristic. Each state has its own personality and I just want to see that.
I love to travel, and I have many places throughout the US that I love. But I want to uncover what each state has to offer. I’m up to 22 states covered. Better get going!
