I was meeting my baseball friend in Orlando in March 2008. But we just discovered that he suffered a minor stroke a few weeks ago. He’s not going to feel up to the task of driving to Orlando. So I’m going to cancel my Florida trip.
But I still have the Phoenix trip planned.
Maybe….2009?

Some of the schedules are posted for the teams, while a great deal of it is not. For instance, I know that the Athletics are playing Kansas City on Mon, March 17th, and the Angels on Tues, March 18th, both at Phoenix Municipal Stadium. But I don’t know what time for the KC game (and whether I can squeeze in another game that afternoon if the KC/A’s game is a night game), and I have no idea what I’ll be doing on Wed. I check the Spring Training site every few days to check. Also, places like StubHub, etc., don’t have tickets available yet.

I am meeting a friend in Orlando to go to the Atlanta Braves’ spring training at the Disney Wide World of Sports. I have already booked the timeshare so that my only expenses are airfare, food, tickets. Still more planning to be done here.
I have already booked a package with the A’s Booster club to spend 4 nights at the Embassy Suites in Phoenix, the one closest to Phoenix Municipal. 2008 will be my 4th year in a row. Kind of an anniversary to celebrate retirement and baseball. No real planning left here, as Candi will take care of my lodging and my tickets. I could,, conceivably, add tickets like I did last year, as one day the A’s had a game in Tucson I didn’t want to attend.
The Florida trip will be in early March, the Arizona trip later in March.
