So, I did this! Eleven days in Mongolia, seven of them riding across the steppe. I’ll probably do one more entry on this after I’ve done my blog blog. It was amazing,and I recommend that you do it promptly, but only if you’re comfortable riding, because riding all day on a tiny little Mongolian interpretation of a Western saddle is hard. The land was amazing – it was a super green summer because it was heavy on the rain (beware the flies if you go in the summer though). I will never forget it. Our last day of riding, we literally galloped for a mile and a half through a field with a herd of horses in it while fresh rain poured down on us until we hit a hot springs. Amazing. Honestly, Amazing.
