Received all the information I needed to create the knitting club’s website from USF: the FTP server name, an ID and password.

Now to start.

Not Sure 18 months ago

I’m not sure what the web site will be. I have never made one and I figured it’s time to learn. I hope to have an idea by Feb. We will see.

I really should make a web site for my band. I’ve been meaning to, but it’s a lot of work, a little expense, and I need to acquire some serious know-how!
Right now I’ve got a band profile on the Myspace site, which is my band’s web site. But I should get off my cheep lazy ass and get a real web site up! It would give me the credibility to say I’m in a real band.
(a band having problems and never gigs out and seems to be losing members daily)

bibliomane happier and more productive

an explanation of my chosen penalty for not completing this goal 2 years ago

I was a very bad citizen and drove to work instead of taking the bus. I parked in the parking garage on the 5th floor and got on the elevator. On the fourth floor, a group of about 5 or 6 older, white, middle aged women got on the elevator and stood in front of me. They were obviously not from here (perhaps from outstate?) and were excited to be in the big city. But, the woman standing directly in front of me had the most astonishing hair. It was kind of like a fluffed up page boy, EXCEPT that her bangs had been shellacked into a terrifying claw of hair which ascended vertically about 2-3 inches before taking a 90 degree angle backwards. There I was, standing behind this woman on the elevator, staring at the back of her head, transfixed, resisting the compulsion to poke her hair claw. A very surreal few seconds transpired and then they got off on the first floor and I continued on down to the tunnel level.

alas, but for a camera phone….

bibliomane happier and more productive

I've been struggling mightily with this 2 years ago

but, it hasn’t been going well. Layoutomatic was recommended to me as a way to create CSS layouts, but the site seems to be down. Any suggestions for other similar sites to try? Easy is good.

Start with Awardspace Free Hosting (no ads, 5GB monthly bandwidth, 200 MB space, etc.). Upgrade after the site is fully developed. This is the best host I’ve found so far. If you would like a totally free site, go to either Awardspace or Addyour.Net
