show my husband how much I love him

I found a place on the internet- somewhat “50s” housewifey. But, you know I don’t need a ton of makeup and dinner ready- I just need to make my husband happy to come home, happy to wake-up, and happy to do things with me. So, instead of always looking at negatives, I need to ignore petty things that don’t matter and look at the big picture.

So his birthday was a week ago, I planned a surprise party, bought him a gift certificate for a 1 hour massage, made him his favorite meal for lunch before he went to work. I tried, he figured out the party, didn’t like the massage, and his steak was too done. But I am staying positive. I will keep trying though. Don’t give up!!! He knows I love him I just need to show him how much I love him, and how important he is to me.

this is number one on my list because i should be doing it everyday. i love my husband so much and i just do not think that i show it to him on a regular basis. i don’t have many ideas as to how i could do this yet but i am working on it.

So, I’ve been working on doing half of whatever I ask my husband to do. It’s meant a little more work around the house for me, but my relationship with my husband is improving. We begun cooking dinner together, whenever possible, and each of us doing half the dishes. The only things I don’t do half of are the trash and laundry- but the laundry thing may change because I just found out our Apartment complex has on-site laundry. Go figure, after 2 years of living in this place I finally find out we have laundry service.
Jon says I can show him I love him if I quit nagging him- which I have, except about one thing- him getting a job. He’s been out of work for 6 months, and I think I have all rights when he’s not tried to find work, to start nagging. But, I’m trying. :)

I got him a book on CD I thought he would like and got out some cash for him so he didn’t have to go. Just trying to be considerate and make his life a little easier.

He doesn’t like his job and I can see it on his face plus he was telling me about it today. His buddy is making $130,000 and is moving away which is why I think he is so hung up on it right now. He says that he hates his job. I want to make it better for him, I just don’t know how. I don’t like to see him so upset and I want him to like his job.

It is Valentines Day after all. We already exchanged gifts but I had already gotten him some chocolates so I wrote him a nice little note and left it for him to find when he got home. He called me and seemed pleased about it. I love my husband.

My awesome husband gave me diamond earrings. They are beautiful and perfect. He is so considerate and thoughtful. He listens to me even when I don’t think he is. I love him very much, this is the best Valentine’s Day ever! He really liked his present too, concert tickets. It is going to be fun.

The stud replaced our faucet this weekend. I am so happy he got this done. It was leaky and annoying. I love my husband so much.

I read an article that couples who fight last longer and I think it holds some value. We have been fighting a little bit more the last few weeks but we also make up quickly. Sometimes you just got to let it out. I don’t want to fight with him. Lately I have been trying to focus on only the positive aspects of my husband. I love him so much and I am excited about our lives together.
