tag my mp3s

I love MusicBrainz and Tag&Rename for this. Also, I finally took the time to figure out how to do this with perl. So now I’m all kinds of tagged up.

With the exception of a few bits and bobs, like my Hitchhiker’s Guide episodes and a few obscure tracks that even I don’t know what the hell they are or where they came from (Anti Pasti Pixie People, anyone?!), they’re all tagged. As far as I know, none are still suffering from the other night’s stoner mishap, but if anyone happens to be listening to my stuff on last.fm and notices an anomaly, please let me know.

..to tag Mp3s when you’re stoned. Just don’t do it. In a fit of gung-ho skunk-induced MusicBrainz stupidity last week, I suddenly managed to mis-tag what could be anywhere between a few and a lot of my Mp3s, leaving me unable to use last.fm (my new favourite toy) for fear of looking like, frankly, a nob with all my mislabelled music. I know where I stopped, but I don’t know where it started to go wrong, so now I’m working my way backwards from there attempting to put right all the damage I did. What a way to spend a Saturday night.

but I’ll never find the time for it because they’ll come in quicker then that I can check and tag ‘em

I added this yesterday because I thought this was going to be a painstakingly long-lasting task, but I’m actually already finished :) Woohoo!

but I discovered that it’s a bigger job then I thought it would be :( Oh well, I just have to persevere. It has to be done :)
