pretty cool to pull that out…(if you’re me)...i could dazzle friends at lame-o parties full of piss-water pong and sprite and vodka with way too much vodka and say “here have a sex on the beach!”
How I did it: Got a job at Hooters!! Hahaha!! you what! I'm a hooters Girl so thats basically just waitressing but I've recently got behind the bar and it's ace! So much easier than actually waitressing though yes it's gets stressful at times when its busy but its so much easier and more fun! Definately do it again"

I’ve been a waitress for too long in my opinion (see goal “Quit being a waitress.”) The only reason I stay is because I’m good at it, I tend to get tipped well, and it helps pay the rent/school/car bills. But really, I’d love to actually have an excuse to learn all those cool drinks and then have the opportunity to get paid to help people have a good time (or get through a bad one.) I have an outgoing personality, and tend to love the bar talk…and living in a college town, it’d probably pay up a bit more than some other jobs here.
I learn a lot from people even just watiressing…I’d love to have the time to actually talk to people from behind the bar. There’s something to be learned behind every tattoo, black eye, and even sorority shirt you serve.
However, it is damn hard to get a bar tending job when you are under 21, at least in Pennsylvania.
far better money on the floor waitressing than being beind the bar making drinks. I would not reccomend either as a career though… there are better paying jobs to be had.

Bartending is really all about the money. And it’s fun to be the one that your friends always ask about drinks!

Maybe one day, but not right now.
perpetualspiral is a work in progress
but actually being a bartender for a living is not all it’s cracked up to be. It’s long hours on your feet, dealing with rowdies and drunks, forever cleaning, hauling kegs and liquor bottles, and getting paid low wages. I don’t care if you are working in Club Med, it’s still HARD WORK.
I had a blast. I fell in love with my regulars. I 86ed a few drunks out of my bar. I was inspired by the drama.I got to know my personal social limitations. After the experience, I became proud of myself for not hitting the tap secretly.
Yo make awesome tips. Lots of loot I checked out thebartendingbook.com after reading j-kroops msg.
I already bartend but even still learned some things i never knew. ‘
Very informative …. worth the purchase
