i had to buy one little over three years ago when i went off to college because it wasn’t practical to have a land line. but HOLD OFF! once i settle i plan on going back to only a land line. i hate how people are a lot less resourceful because they have the ease of cell phones. and iphones? don’t even get me started! 5 years ago
Yeah, I hear that a lot. Because I’m in high school, and everyone else sits in class texting their friends behind propped up books, and I sit there and actually pay attention. I love when they’re confused about why I get better grades than them.
I climbed a mountain a few weekends ago, and I was at the summit enjoying the view when I heard a “Fergilicious” ringtone and a very annoying woman chattering away on her cell. Is it even possible to ruin a wonderully serene moment in nature any more than that?!
I’ve survived so far with a house phone and the occasional use of pay phones. (I met a seven-year-old girl a few days ago who didn’t know what a pay phone was. Go figure.) I suppose cell phones are good at least for emergencies, but I still refuse to buy one on principle alone. 5 years ago
