clean the kitty litter every day

because I have talked my husband into cleaning it sometimes too. But it is much cleaner because of this goal.

I am doing good so far.

I am trying to implement a regular pet schedule… its hard. I want to come home, let the dogs out, change my clothes, do my exercise 5bx routine, let the dogs in, give Winnie her ear meds, give the dogs their oral meds, feed the animals, clean the kitty litter. then start the regular chores/day.

this would address a couple of goals that I have and be really good for myself and my family.

I would rather cut my grass with scissors than scoop kitty litter. But we have to face our fears, and my fear is the big, bad, scary, kitty litter. I need to get on top of this goal. It is really important for so many reasons:

1) My dogs like the taste of cat poop. That has to be bad for them.

2) My house begins to smell of cat poop.

3) Cat poop is better kept in the trash than in an open pan in the kitchen.

4) The dogs begin to think that the kitchen is the general bathroom if the kitty litter smells strong.

5) I really dislike animal poop and pee being outside the allotted area for poop and pee.

We just have SO many cats (okay, only 3) that the kitty litter is never clean. They spend a lot of time outside so it isn’t as bad as it could be, but it is worse than I would like it to be.

I think a corrolary of this goal should be to arrange with my hubby a schedule of chores that we both attempt to maintain. But that would never never never never get realized. I would be more likely to meet a “go to the planet pluto” goal.
