I worked at Cedar Point during the summer of 2006. Long hours and not amazing pay but, good people and work location. Plus, with the cheap cost of living and the hours that you work, you can definitely make some money. Loved it and might return.
How to work at Cedar Point
How I did it: It was as easy as applying online for me. A few days later I got the phone interview. And a couple of days after that I did my online orientation and they sent me a process-in date and I was off :)
And of course they set you up with housing, uniforms, and a "mailbox".
I got my 1st choice job as a housekeeper and i loved it!
Lessons & tips: be sure to add vacation time to your app. Cause they won't give it to you when your there lol

I worked at Cedar Point at the Red Garter Saloon… and although it was a long summer and a lot of hours, I think it was worth it because I made a LOT of money, met a ton of great people, got to ride Millenium force like a million times and learned to be more independent. overall: good.
I dont normally like to give up on goals or whatever, but i mean, i got the job and everything, i just dont want to do it anymore. it’s my last summer at home, and i want to spend it with the people that i love and may not get to see quite as often as i’ll want to later on.
I did it, twas fun
an FYI: 85% of male employees are gay
you live in dorms that are cheap, but some are falling apart. they work you long. however, you can get into the park before there are lines, and it just feels kinda cool to be strolling through the rollercoaster capital of the world like its your summer home
if i had to do it again, i’d be a waitress. they make some nice tips
