Play guitar better.

I’ve been practising a little more often since I started taking a course in musicianship. Mostly on my old acoustic, and nothing really new, but practice is practice! :c)

Not bad, considering my electric is back in its case. I did have the acoustic worked on to lower the action a bit, but it’s still hard to play.

HOW NOT TO MEET THIS GOAL: buy an inexpensive guitar with a very high action which is hard to play. Not that I would have known this twenty years ago, LOL. Spend a few bucks more! :c)

Picked up my guitar again this year, done some acoustic gigs so far! practice more n do weekly gigs!! Gosh not gonna let those teasers get the better of me! Stick to just singing they say!! nah nah nah!!!

my father gave away my/his guitar (with my permission) to my younger cousin, who wants to learn. i feel she has more hope and potential than i do (and longer fingers), so i don’t mind giving it up. i’m sticking to the bass now, though i miss strumming cords. sigh one day i will purchase a guitar of my own, but until then, i’ll dedicate myself to the bass.

I’ve had 4 years of guitar playing (as opposed to my friend Heather’s 2) and i’m still not very good. I’m still learning, though. Maybe i need a better teacher.
I can pick out notes from song, though… I figured out summer loving (or whatever that grease song is called) On the first night i got the guitar.
I have 2 guitars, 1 steel string, 1 nylon. My brother has a guitar, but it’s in very bad shape…
I’m hoping for an electric for my birthday or christmas!

I think the process of learning guitar is an ongoing process you will be like all the time learning and getting better but the problem is sometimes you could feel stuck I have been learning for 6 month now and I dont know what to do next ? I have learned the basic chords I still have some problems with 2 of them
I know a good number of songs the majorty of them are ones that I already love even before playing guitar but the question is what next ? how to improve ?
I think will go find another teacher to train with in the summer I hope I find a good one

Picked it up the other day, albeit for only a few minutes. Better than nothing, though!! :c)

I’ve actually learned some legitimate chords and such. I think I’m on my way.

I wrote a bunch of songs while I worked at a camp over the summer. I’d say that’s pretty good progress. I’m much better at singing while playing for it.

Usually, when i finish playing guitar and take my shower, any callouses that I’ve built up on my fingertips just sort of slough off. They didn’t slough off today!!! My callouses are staying! This is good!

Now, someone tell the rheumatoid arthritis in my right hand to stop being a pain in the finger. ;-)
