Its an instrument that i would really like to play more of in the future. I would also like to play ‘soprano trombone’ or slide trumpet eventually. Its a really satisfying instrument for me to play, NO FINGERINGS!!!!
Tomorow i intend to do my trombone playtest and get the stressful part of it out of the way, but i do really want to play this more in the future.

I practiced today and it was super fun… i have a hard time innitially figuring out where i am in the range… which octave etc, but once i find my High D and Low BFlat I’m a happy camper.. i played about the first 8 pages of the beginiers book today and my lips are like guppies.
MUAH!
Mayhaps i’ll do my test tomorow.(?)

Well, you heard me, it’s a kick-ass instrument! Lol. I’m a senior in highschool and have been playing since my freshman year. If your starting up band in school and are interested in learning a brass instrument, then the trombone is for you baby.

i’ve been playing for about five years now, this is my sixth. started completely by accident, but i’ve never regretted it. i’ve done my Grade 3, but i’m about an unofficial Grade 5 or 6 standard :P it got me an A* in Music at GCSE. i’ve played in a brass band, a wind band, a concert band and a swing band over the years. they were all great fun and experience, but i’m only in the swing band now.
only two problems- i never really learnt which positions correspond to which notes, so if i see a Bb i’ll think “one”, which can be really embarassing. it also kindof scuppers my plans for a lip piercing.
one of the best things i’ve ever done :)

I’d like to learn to play the trombone. I can play it at a various amateurish level and it would be great to do more

Natoko is going to the University of Georgia next fall! W00T!
I started playing trombone in sixth grade, but I’ve loved the trombone since I was two. My mom said that it was something to do with an episode of Barney. Anywho, now I’m in the tenth grade in high school: I am in the top symphonic band class, marching band, symphonic orchestra, and soon-to-be jazz band. Band just lets you meet so many cool, colorful people, and I don’t know what I would do without it.
For those of you hopeless romantics out there, it’s also where all the lovin’ is. I can tell you that!

I opened my big mouth when I started a new school to say that I was musical. Next thing I was conscripted into the military band as a trombonist. I had never touched a brass instrument in my life, but could play piano “by ear”.
Anyway I started to give myself a few lessons until a resonable sound ensued (or so I thought). Besides which there was only one note at a time to read from the music, so that was a cinch after trying to read piano music.
We were on parade when the local Brass came to inspect the band. The commanding officer wanted to hear each member play a few notes to see how we were progressing. The guy next to me played somewhat awfully. “How long have you been playing?” he was asked and replied “two years”. Next I played, equally badly as I remember. “And you?”. “Two weeks” came the quick retort – to sniggers all round!
