Rode a segway in Minneapolis on Independence Day  — 1 week ago

    Worth doing!

I loved it. What a cool feeling! And the weather and scenery was great. I want to do it again.

The way this works  — 3 weeks ago

This is a “goal” because every time I travel somewhere, I check to see if there’s an opportunity for me to ride one. Hopefully soon!

    Worth doing!

It’s as much fun as it looks. It’s possibly more fun than it looks. I never wanted to get off. I did it as part of a tour of Paris. It was 70 euro , or about $105, so not cheap, but worth it.

    Worth doing!

Rode a Segway at Epcot in Walt Disney World. I can’t believe how easy they are to handle!

The future?  — 8 months ago

If the Segway is supposed to be the transportation of the future, then I should at least try riding one.

Too cool  — 1 year ago

I tried to get the Disney World employees to let me try theirs, but they weren’t going to fall for Bambi eyes and excessive pleading.

I think you can ride them in the stores, maybe I’ll have to head there for a test drive.

I did this last week at Scheels! The kids were with me, and the store was kind of quiet. A few of the sales people were riding around on them, and I asked “When does the public get a chance to ride them?” ... and he let me hop on!

Definitely a different experience. I kept trying to compensate for the tipping feeling, so the Segwet kept trying to “fix” my compensations. At that point I think I looked more like a cowboy riding a bull and less like a graceful Segwet rider. But it was fun!
