My stupid car accident...  — 8 hours ago

I guess I didn’t update in my last post. I’ll do that now.

I know, I gained a lb, but I do have this much to say:

I was in a car accident last Sunday and at first I had no appetite, but then, after I started taking pain meds and muscle relaxers, I was sleeping all the time and just waking up for meals. I felt so sluggish, so I cut back the pills, and now I feel a lot more able to do things.

I have a fractured sternum, sprained wrist and very bruised knees and chest. When on the pain killers I feel about 85%, when off I feel about 60%. So, I can do simple things…walking, exercise bike, leg aerobics, step, but nothing too strenuous and no arm work.

In conclusion…this goal is not on hold, but definately could suffer a little. I’m feeling pretty motivated, but who knows.

I havent really been bothering the last couple of months, just being good the bad then good… too much work to do and all those other excuses. I think my weights stayed pretty constant (I say think because our scales broke a couple of weeks ago) at about 186lbs. BUT THIS IS GOING TO CHANGE V.SOON.
I have 2 weeks off till my next couple of exams and by the time I go back to school (Sept. 2nd) I want to be in the 130’s. I honestly think I can do it if i try (although I had a lion and mars bar after two very bad exams) but I’m damn well commited this time I’m telling you.
I’m sick of being all antisocial because I’ll be the fat one and be all self conscious, ENOUGH!

Now I’m getting nervous. I’ve really got to get into a lot better shape by the end of July. That is when I’m taking a weeklong vacation with my boyfriend on Lake Erie. However, the week before he’s going to be there with his brothers and his cousins, all boys. I’m sure there’s going to be a day or so of overlap in the vacations, so I’m scared. Last year when they went on their vacation, weeks after mine, one of them said that my boyfriend couldn’t check out any women because he had seen my pictures online and I was “hot”. Now I have to live up to that comment. I cannot get there and be a chubby girl. :(

I can’t even remember where I was with this goal. I got so far off track.

So now, all May I’ve been trying to do 4 things which I think should eventually let my weight come down:

Eat 1 fruit per day
Eat 1 vegetable per day

(At least)

Stop eating at 8:00 pm
Drink 8 glasses of water a day

So far I’m only down 2 lbs. But these are really basic things.

It was true...  — 1 week ago

...about food in England, at least where I was. Sugar was in EVERYTHING, and they really seem to like their processed food.

However, I managed to make relatively good food choices, and walked a crazy amount. When I came back last week, I weighed myself and saw that I’d lost 2 lbs… So I’m at the cusp of meeting my mini-goal of 165 lbs. WHOO HOO!

I live my life saying age ain’t nothin but a number… this is mostly because most my friends (and interests :) are older.

Why can’t I say this about weight!?

My goal is to become healthy… I think a healthy weight for me would be around 50 pounds less. But if I did it in a healthy manner, and worked out out and got some muscle mass built up so I can be ‘lean’ instead of ‘skinny’, I might actually not need to lose that much. So… I am going to leave my goal of be healthy and get a flat stomach (or something to that effect) and remove this goal. Because quite frankly, I think the having the pressure of a number of pounds to lose is affecting my progress in a negative way.
