on this. Right now I’m at 39 lbs. lost. Wow, I’d really like to lose as much as possible before we go to Cancun at the end of December, but we’re heading into the feasting-and-cookie season. I’m still hoping to lose at least 5-6 more pounds before then.

How to lose 50 pounds"A hard ride, a worthwhile journey and an amazing result. 1/5 of my weight in 4 months, and I feel fantastic!"
How I did it: My plan was simple. I looked at where I wanted to be by getting a general idea from a BMI calculator, I figured out what I ought to be eating, using Thedailyplate.com, and I kept a log of what I ate there, along with my weight loss progress. Then I simply started to become active. I took up running. Started with the "Couch to 5k" program, and just kept on from there. Lessons & tips: I can provide a few tips. How I did it: By eating less, and being more careful about what I ate when I did. This consisted mostly of two things: cutting out non-meal snacks almost completely, and cutting down portions when I did eat. It's a bit painful when you start, but if you stick to it hard it gets easier. Mostly I've been having a light breakfast and lunch, with a larger dinner - makes it a bit easier for me. How I did it: After you start to see some success with losing weight, then you know you have a good system. If it's a fancy diet, and exercise program, whatever. Once you start seeing results, the important thing is commit to it even harder. I was happy to see that I was losing weight, and after you lose about 25, you will be tempted to loosen up and eat dangerously. Commit to your diet, stick with your plan.I also set an outlandish goal of participati… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started off with a few different fad diets, which got rid of about 10 pounds quickly. Then I did Weight Watchers for a while because that had worked before, and that only took off about 8 pounds. I got fed up, so I went to a doctor who prescribed a few different meds for me, which actually work for me, and the rest of the weight came off with me exercising at least 30 minutes a day 5 days each week and drastically changing m… Read how I did it…

emsterdamsel On Essay 14 of 14 for culminating project
It was just three years ago when I was determined to lose 30. Instead, I crept up the scale and weigh 20 pounds more than I did then. Even though I am still not finished with my master’s, I took on this project by joining Weight Watchers. I hate giving them my money, especially when not working. But I was desperate. I am tracking using their e-tools, going to meetings, and emphasizing the filling foods like vegetables, salads, some fruit, and staying away from my pitfalls. My hardest task is to get myself to stop grazing, and measure more. I have lost 7 pounds in 2 or 2.5 weeks. My next goal is adding elliptical and stationery bike, weightlifting, and trail hikes.

Ok… so I sit here and I watch the Biggest Loser every week saying… I am sooooo getting off the couch in the morning and then tomorrow never comes! Well I decided to quit smoking and yesterday I ate so much I decided to go to the grocery store, buy some healthy snacks & sugar free gum and this morning I got up… worked out and only made it 21 minutes and then I ate a healthy breakfast and drank lots and lots of water! So I am soooooo proud of me! I finally started again after a couple of years! My beginning weight as of this morning was 237…. NOT good at all! Not going to be that anymore after this week. Totally going to do this. MY first goal is 50 pounds… and then we’ll go from there!
Keri W. its like New years, but today!
50 pounds? I really have that much to lose? How the heck did I get this big?? ...wait… 3 pounds for every year married, plus an extra 10 pounds per baby… oh. I guess that’s exactly how this happened.
Well, its all got to go. I started jump roping last night while watching my favorite TV shows. (okay, so I got totally winded after four minutes) And I got my gym membership this morning. Fat, this is your eviction notice!

So I was talking with a friend about losing wieght and she said that she, like me, lacks motivation. So starting this tuesday we will be going to the gym together. Nothing motivates like a good support system.
my six week waiting period is up after having baby Truman. Time to work out! I still have to be careful but Monday I start Yoga and Aquafit. Today I’m going to go grocery shopping for healthy food. Not that I’ve been eating bad at all, but I need more veggies in the house. I take my measurements and weigh myself today, YIKES!! In one month I hope to be posting good progress, but good or bad, the journey is starting!
I lost another pound! so now i have 14 more to go! I am super super excited! my clothes are loose and Im getting lots of compliments, but most of all…im feeling really good about my appearance and all of the effort that i have put in!
i basically started replacing some things like sugar with agave nectar and stopped totally ever ever drink any soda! i drink water mostly or tea sometimes coffee or juices. i tried to never eat fatty foods or meats.. i eat alot of nuts fruit, brown or white rice, pure maple syrup, organic eggs and lots of veggies.. my brother started the couch to 5k and i hope to start soon as my son joined the marines and want to be able to work out a bit with him before he leaves for basic training … i just want to say that never in my life have i ever been able to lose this amount of weight so easily only by changing few things in my diet its made me resolved to continue!
Kimm Moon knows karma takes her sweet time but its worth the wait.
Everyday I work very hard at eating the right things ….then I get one of “those” days and eat a bunch of junk that I feel I have been missing….I guess as long as its just once in a while its ok.
