Get An A in AS Maths

here’s were I’m at, Core 1&2 are doable, Mechanics is still a pain in the arse frankly and as I am planning to drop this subject next year, I only need a B in it, so thats what I’m aiming for as I dont think I’m EVER going to get an A.
So bye bye goal…

mechanics test on tuesday and I havent started revising yet – have a feeling I’m going to get no higher than a D with this one. I also have my mock maths test after christmas (which is going to be ALL mechanics as we havent finished core 1 yet – aren’t I going to have a brilliant Christmas?)

and mechanics is starting to look up – we’ve technically finished the M1 course and i have until May to fully grasp it all. I am going to start doing extra excircises in an attempt to help me get better.
Core maths is going extremely well – got 60% in the last test – came 4th in entire set!!!
I’m actually feeling quite optimistic about this goal now…

had my 1st tutoring session ( as my report came back and I got As and Bs in everything apart from maths which was a D (although i got a B in core maths)) and I have to say that resolving forces is beginning to make sense to me.

that mechanics test was HORRIBLE – one girl even walked out crying because she couldn’t do it. There were 12 questions, and I only did 5. So at most I can get an E, if I get it all right – which I wont.

a mechanics test tomorrow – went to my form teacher after school (he’s a maths teacher) to get some help – understood a little bit more, but I’m still going to fail – a D i’d be happy with, then I’d be improving. But i really cant be bothered revising as I’ve had such a rubbish day today that I just want to slob.

I have a whole WEEK of tests – including maths. I had my core 1 today ( i want to get at least a C) and it was ok – not great but ok. Have a mechanics test on friday – NOT looking forward to that, aiming for a D and i dont think i’ll get it!

are looking up – got my Core 1 test back and went from a U to a D!!!! with 50%!!!! THATS A PASS!!!! Just need to climb 3 more grades and then this goal is done

this seems pretty impossible as i have just got back my 3 chapter tests from modules core 1 and mechanics – got Us (C:43%, M:34%) in both (high Us if thats any consolation). Have another test in both in 2 weeks time what to get Cs at least! aiming for 60% in mech. and 70% in core one.
