mike is staying up late AGAIN
I’m pretty confused about a couple of things at this stage of my life. This is mostly to do with my love life and emotions which often puzzle me. I’d like to discover what’s really good for me, and what’s really good for others. I’d like to discover the truth.

I am not sure if I dare say that I have indeed discovered The Truth. But, I have held the belief that the truth is in the Bible for sometimes now. Well then, it is going to be a progressive and lifelong quest to discover who I am (we are) and who He is. Blessings!

Reading autobiographies of Christian heros, books by Former President Carter, inspired by Mother Teresa and the likes. I think the truth is around us just like God is. But, knowing Him and His infinite truth takes a life time and more.

I spent years wondering about Truth, “what’s it all about?”, why am I on this earth?, what’s my purpose in life? until I discovered Sahaja Yoga (www.sahajayoga.org). I received kundalini awakening (self-realisation) in 1993 and it has completely transformed my life.
We all have the power within us which has the potential to connect us to the truth. The first truth is: we are not this body, this mind, ego, emotions, conditions but we are “The Spirit” which resides in the heart. The second truth is: we all have within us this power which is lying in a dormant state at the base of the spine. The awakening of this power (kundalini) connects us to the “all pervading cosmic power” which does all living work. How do we achieve kundalini awakening? By just asking in the right manner it will happen.
Once you get self-realisation and meditate daily you will gradually discover more about yourself, the universe, life in general and have a deeper appreciation of Self. Then you will be able to see the reality in all things. Mostly we are living our life in “Illusion” (maya). After self-realisation the cloud of maya is lifted and you discover the truth in all things.

An interesting goal. What is the truth? I don’t believe there
is a single answer to this, as it will be different for each
one of us.
I have spent my life searching for the answer, joining many
different churches and religions, convinced they knew. It took
me 50 years to learn the answer was inside myself all along.
No one has the truth for anyone else, even though many people
believe they do. I’ve found that those who want to lead others
to the ‘truth’ have no idea where they are going.

Finding out the truth isn’t always the best thing.

I think this is one of the most intriguing goals. Here are my questions:
- What does ‘discovering the truth’ really mean?
- What can one do to discover the truth?
- How does one know that it is the truth and not the ‘truth’ one hopes for?
- What truth have you discovered?
- Has discovering the truth made a difference in your life? How?
Thank you.
