I purchased a highly recommended book and got through the first 3 chapters. It takes a lot of focus for me to understand it all and RETAIN the information. It has been a couple of months since I last studied, so I will probably spend a couple of days just reviewing. This has taught me that I need to study on a regular basis, or else start from scratch every time.

How to learn html"once I had it in my head I knew it couldn't be that hard"
How I did it: I spent four days going through the tutorials on http://www.w3schools.com and then I built a website using notepad. after that I learned there were programs that would help you write HTML like CUTE HTML which is awsome if your in the market for something like that. Lessons & tips: do all of the tutorials at w3schools and then build a website asap then it'll stick but if you forget something go back to w3schools. Resources: http://www.w3schools.com |

How I did it: I couldn't get it for a long time. I went through countless online tutorials and bought HTML for dummies. What worked for me was just trying to build my own webpage, looking at the source codes of other sites for help. Now I understand HTML and CSS. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went on help sites that have tutorials, and practiced on websites of my own. So I found a really good tutortial site for this @http://www.w3schools.com/html. This is probably the best tutorial I’ve come across for any type of programming / scripting. It’s really easy to use and breaks it down one step at a time with interactive examples. Anyone can do this, at least so far….
because the instuctor disenrolled me for non-attendance even though I was clearly participating in class discussions etc. There was another student that happened to as well. This instructor sux.
So, I’m already behind, but nearly caught up with the rest of the students now.
This stuff really isn’t too hard at all
Looks like Chinese when you have no clue what the codes stand for and do.Although I still want to learn.

i just found a site called codepunk and it has free web tutorials. I can’t afford to get someone else to do it, so I might as well try and learn myself.

programing is cake, making servers and web pages is easy. I used web pages a viewed there code :) and now I make my own. but my main priority IS my OS :)
I already know HTML very well, so this goal is complete.
The hardest part is to get your page to look consistent between all the major browsers AND pass W3C validation
But how the page looks is a function of Cascading Style Sheets, which is a separate goal ;-)
I don`t really understand any of that shite, but it sure seems interesting. Learning it would definitely be cool.
