be more romantic

The other night my fiancee and I just laid in bed, asking each other questions like we used to so we could know everything about one another. A lot of the questions we knew the answers to already, but it is a great way to check in and make sure you both still know each other’s likes.

...is the next thing I want to work on in our marriage. We have a good marriage… we’re happy and respect each other. But I could do a lot more to be romantic (and I’m not talking about sex).

I went to a nice romantic restaurant for our anniversary… that was great. It’s about as romantic as I get. I have found she’s similar so it doesn’t help me… it’s like, we have 1 second of a romantic moment and then we revert for it. I guess that’s how some people are but when I can, I’ll try to be romantic!

I suppose the real goal is to go on a date with someone I find attractive.

So today I am spending with my girlfriend in our dorm hall. She had to finish up some schoolwork and she asked me if I could start cooking lunch while she was away. She gave me her key to her dorm room. Hehehe So I used that opportunity to set up all the Christmas gifts and decorations I got her in her room. She was totally shocked :D :D

I’ve found that it is easy to forget to be romantic. I’ve been serious with my girlfriend for a month and time seems to fly by. I seem to forget to do little romantic things like I did when I first met her.

She deserves one romantic thing a day. That’s my goal.

my husband is the best man i’ve ever known. he does things that drive me crazy, but oh, he’s got a good soul. even before, but especially since having our daughter, i have become distracted (and SOOOOO TIRED!) and haven’t focused on him like i should. we’ve had financial issues that have brought both of us down and we just haven’t been romantic like we need to. i’m not asking for candlelit dinners and boxes of chocolate… i just want to focus and recognize the love we have for one another. i can’t make him do anything to work on this, but i can work on it and see what happens.

I bought him dinner last night, does that count? :)

I’ve been blessed with a wonderful boyfriend who is a hopeless romantic and very sweet. I think I could be a bit more romantic for him but I’ve been stumped for ideas – the flowers and chocolates thing seems a bit too girly! I’m going to actively hunt down ways of being more romantic and showing him I love him.

Any ideas from the guys are welcome!

What a great goal! I’ve not only become more romantic with my lovers but I now live a more romantic life. I’ve kissed in the rain, I cry when I see great beauty, I chase after things I know I shouldn’t, I feel fear and hope and compassion and lust and agony. I feel. I love looking at my life like this!!
