Moose Everything is progress!

The bake-off 2 years ago

is done, and was a huge success – I got everything done on my Mission List (which should have been dated 071020 after all!)

I have also evolved a “to do next” box, which sits next to my desk and has things in it to follow up, memos, letters to reply to etc. Between that and the Action! Tray I think I am getting into the habit of getting on with whatever is up next when I think I have nothing to do. For example, today I was hanging around for an hour while the others got stuck in traffic, the flat was all clean so I updated and covered my Happy Scrapbook (partner to the Happy Wall!) and did the painting on K’s birthday frame, and some other bits and bobs. Felt productive (and am giving myself extra points for getting on with it!)

Moose Everything is progress!

I am a closet 2 years ago

gaming freak – not many people know that about me, as I try to avoid playing too much, I have been known to get a leetle bit obsessed. Recently though it’s been a good source of stress relief and I figure, if it makes me happy…

Anyway, all this playing has made me think that it could be a metaphor for life. We go around, we collect items and implements, we solve puzzles, we gain and lose energy, and most importantly we get points for doing things right! (well we should!)

At the moment I mean two things by this goal – another goal I added and then de-added (un-added?) as I didn’t know what I meant by it then was generate positive energy – I want to be aware of what activities and situations give me motivation and inspiration, as well as physical energy. The second thing is that I want to use it as a way of recognising my little achivements each day by giving myself points, of some sort (hmmm this might be quite random!)

And there’s always the fun side of procuring up useful objects (postcards!!), necessary tools (need a spatula for next week’s bake off!) and stuff to add to my inventory!

It could even be a way to measure my skills and abilities as they grow! I feel a little bit of recognition, a little bit of fun, and a little bit of confidence-building is in order!!
